Geek Brunch 207 – Bathroom Attendance

This week starts with just Bill and Micah where they discuss a grand number of topics including Local cons, Heroescon, the shocking ten year run of Smallville , Agents of Sheild , Yahoo’s Community , The Happening, Mice Templar Vol. 3 Hardcover, Sailor Moon Crystal, Nailbiter  ,MPH, and Clockwork Angels. But the real meat and potatoes of this episode is Mike’s cameo appearance and our in depth discussion of washroom attendants. Have you ever been curious about what this profession has to offer? How to get into it? The etiquette therein? Listen to the end of this episode and all will be revealed. Maybe.

I’ve totally forgotten most of what went on between recording the episode and release, but I remember having fun recording it. Mike is out so it’s just Bill and Micah having a fun chat about comics and such. Stuff like Farlaine the Goblin #1, Hinterkind #1, The Memory Collectors #1, Super! #1, Ultimate Spider-Man #22-28, Bloodshot v2, Harbinger v2, Horns, Dredd, Studio Ghibli Movies, Hannibal, Band Called Death, ESPN 30 for #30 movies, After Earth, and goodness gracious probably a bunch of other stuff. I think you’ll enjoy it.

Geek Brunch 183 – Poison Ivey

With Mike out this week Bill and Micah are joined by Retro-Cast’s other host Chris Ivey! He’s excited to talk about comics printed after 1980. Before the comics talk though, there’s lots of yammering about delicious food and no judgement vegetarianism. Yum. Micah sings the praises of Fast and Furious 6 and the fast and furious franchise in general. From there we talk about comic book movies and silver lining’s playbook and Django Unchained. There is some TV talk with stuff like EndGame, Elementary, and Game of Thrones. There still a lot of comics talk! Yay! Black Panther, Jack Kirby’s awesomeness, Chin Music, Half Past Danger, Dream Merchant, Marbles, Metal Gear Solid, Suicide Risk, and Punk Rock Jesus all get some love in this episode, so kick back and listen.

Geek Brunch 175 – Big Timed

This week Mike is off chilling with celebrities and couldn’t be with us, so Micah and Bill hold down the podcast with three hours of general geek brunch talk. The show starts with scintillating discussions of windows 8 and itunes and mp3 players! Don’t fret, it quickly turns to movies and tv and comics with stuff like Looper, Men in Black 3, NOVA: The Fabric of Cosmos, Liberal Arts, Elementary, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, the end of Young Justice and the beginning Downton Abbey. We also glorify the comic book Glory, because it is glorious. We also talked about DC’s WTF books, Sweet Tooth, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles spinoffs and more. So give a listen, it’s a good one.

Also, check out this football stadium made of meats and sandwiches. Bill and Micah were fascinated by it.

Geek Brunch 162 – Cookout Reunin

All Three Guys are back this week after heroes for a post Heroes Con Pre July 4th podcast! Yay!

During the show we talk about, Crossed (well, Mike and Bill did. Micah went to a happy place), Extermination, Warren Ellis’ No Hero, Kagan McLeod’s Infinite Kung-Fu, Matt Kindt’s Super Spy and Two Sisters, Incredible Hulk, America’s Got Powers, and Dial H. There’s also so pretty decent Kickstarter comics talk including Sullivan’s Sluggers. Most important of all in this episode we get Mike’s Con Story.

Geek Brunch 161 – Before Heroes Con

This episode of geek brunch is filled up with good discussions, most of them centering on comic books and the upcoming HeroesCon in Charlotte, NC where all the members of Geek Brunch will be. Only two make an appearance on this episode though, as one of them is trying to do eight weeks of conventions in a row. As to what specifically we actually discussed? I don’t remember. I know there’s Batman, other Scott Snyder stuff, and most likely some indie titles. Cause that’s how we roll. Here’s an idea, just listen and be surprised.
