Geek Brunch 175 – Big Timed

This week Mike is off chilling with celebrities and couldn’t be with us, so Micah and Bill hold down the podcast with three hours of general geek brunch talk. The show starts with scintillating discussions of windows 8 and itunes and mp3 players! Don’t fret, it quickly turns to movies and tv and comics with stuff like Looper, Men in Black 3, NOVA: The Fabric of Cosmos, Liberal Arts, Elementary, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, the end of Young Justice and the beginning Downton Abbey. We also glorify the comic book Glory, because it is glorious. We also talked about DC’s WTF books, Sweet Tooth, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles spinoffs and more. So give a listen, it’s a good one.

Also, check out this football stadium made of meats and sandwiches. Bill and Micah were fascinated by it.

Geek Brunch 160 – Remember the Awesome Stuff

Welcome to another somewhat forgetful episode of Geek Brunch. This week Mike is out (continuing our string of episodes where someone is missing), but Micah returns to talk to Bill about all the comics, movies, tv shows, and food neither of them can remember experiencing over the past two weeks. A few of the remembered titles are Secret Service, Conan The Barbarian, Glory, The Secret, Saucer Country, Green Lantern Volume 3, Supurbia, Book of Human Insects, Tyrannosaur, and Battleship. Somewhere in there is a really cool talk about the history of comics, manga, and cartoons. So enjoy that. We also discuss how awesome Osamu Tezuka is and Micah’s new love “Kid’s on the Slope.”

Geek Brunch Episode 77

Heath and Mike, solo (duo?) once again, discuss the usual crop of comics, movies, tv, and edibles. Be warned, this contains spoilers for just about everything: Astounding Wolf Man, Jumper, Eagle Eye, The Sixth Sense, Dallas, who killed Laura Palmer, where’s the beef, what happened to the lost colony of Roanoke, how Tupac faked his death, the truth behind the Hoffa mystery, how Elvis is really alive, Where Jim Morrison has been for the last few decades, which came first, the chicken or the egg, and what women really want. We answer and spoil it all. Bon Apetit!
